Pakistan’s exports to UK maintain upward trend when other countries show negative trends

 

Pakistan’s exports to the UK have seen an upward growth of 7.71% with £646,172.469 million worth exports in the year January to December 2009 according to figures of UK world Trade, recently released by Her Majesty’s Customs Office.

 

This positive trend has been achieved despite the fact that economy was in recession resulting in downward trend in exports from European Asian and Middle Eastern countries. France -14.16, Germany -13.36, Italy -16.82, Saudi Arabia -9.55, Iraq-44.87 and Turkey -8.35

 

The UK remains among Pakistan’s top five export destinations with balance of trade in favour of Pakistan. Exports from Pakistan to the UK were £646,172,469 Million worth during January to December 2009, indicating a positive growth of 7.71% when compared with that of previous corresponding period, i.e. January – December 2008
